Ramstein AFB, Deutschland

My first visit on an american airbase. A club-journey of the FEBS at that time (airplane recognition Basel) led me 1977 on the basis in the Pfalz. The air shows from the american were it  always worth to go there.

Unfortunately my last attendance on the basis remains in bad memory, since on this day over 70 spectators whe killed when a pland from the Frecce Tricolori crashed into the crowd.

Mein erster Besuch auf einer Luftwaffenbasis der Amerikaner. Eine Clubreise des damaligen FEBS (Flugzeug Erkennung Basel Stadt) führte mich 1977 auf die Basis in der Pfalz. Die Air Shows auf amerikanisch waren immer einen Besuch Wert. 

Leider bleibt mein letzter Besuch auf der Basis in schlechter Erinnerung, da an diesem Tag über 70 Zuschauer ihr leben lassen mussten als eine Maschine der Frecce Tricolori abstürzte.
