1984 fand auf dem Flugplatz der RAF in Bentwates ein Air Show statt. Die Einheimische Einheit die 81 TFW der USAFE lud zum Open Day. RAF Bentwaters und RAF Woodbridge war der Heimatstützpunkt der sechs A-10 Thunderbolt Staffeln der Wing. Aufgrund der Größe der Einheit war sie auf zwei Stützpunkte verteilt.
