  Domestic & Island Hoppers

Sint Maarten/St. Martin is a small island in the Caribbean Sea, belonging to the Dutch and the French and rund by both governments.

The capital of the Dutch part is Philipsburg and Marigot is the capital of the French part. Most of the islands income is accelerated by tourism. During peak season you will find up to ten large cruising ships in the harbor of Philipsburg and thousands of tourists arriving by plane to Sint Maarten/St. Martin.

Sint Maarten/St.

Long-haul Europe

Regarding the spectacular landings and take-off’s at Princess Juliana International Airport attracts every year more and more aviation-enthusiasts to the island. The airport lays on a landscape between the Dutch and French part. Because of the high mountains, aircraft mostly can approach the runway only from the seaside. At the final approach, they fly just a few feet’s over your head before touching down on runway 10/28!

As an aviation spotter there is no need to print out the daily flight schedule on your computer. Just go to the Sunset-Beach-Bar early in the morning. There you will find the daily flight plan written on a surfboard near the bar.

By the way, the Sunset-Beach-Bar at Maho Beach is “the” place to be. A breathtaking show and some fantastic picture are guaranteed!

Nervenkitzel garantiert!
