Der EuroAirport im Dreiländereck wurde schon immer ein wenig als kleiner Regional-Flughafen belächelt. Ich denke, eigentlich zu unrecht! Many people think, Basel Airport is small and more or less regional airport, rather than an international airport like Zurich, Geneva or even Paris and Frankfurt. I’ll guess this is not quiet right! Sure we don’t have any intercontinental flights and very rare “wide body” jets landing at Basel Airport. But our regional European traffic, cargo operations and VIP jets show many surprises and colourful aircrafts. EasyJet, with almost 45% of passengers and aircraft movements are number one at the EuroAirport, followed by Air France regional, Swiss, Lufthansa regional, Air Berlin and British Airways. Not to forget the Cargo operations, such as Korean Air Cargo, FedEx, Southern Air and Farner Europe with their daily/weekly scheduled flights in- and outbound of Basel. Another fact to consider is the cabin layout refurbishing industries for VIP-aircrafts. Many of the well known companies like Jet Aviation running hangars and maintenance facilities at the EuroAirport. Regarding these facts, you will see quiet often all kind of exotic VIP-Jets arriving or departing from Basel Airport. In a later on published report we will have a close-up at the VIP-aircrafts and industry at Basel EuroAirport. Well, we hope you enjoy this report called: Basel Tower …. „GRÜEZI“ bei uns melden. |
