As every year by the end of January the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) are held in Davos, Switzerland. This summit (The big transformation) is a “come to together” of over 2’500 participants out of politics, economy and showbiz, from around the globe.

Many of them arriving in there own company or private jet, mainly at Zurich-Airport.

The Zurich-Airport authority counting over 160 BIZ-Jets during the time of 22nd – 29th January 2012! As there are only 54 additional parking lots for BIZ-Jets available at ZRH, most of the Jets had to leave Zurich again to be parked at Airport’s in Basel, Geneva, Bern or even Stuttgart, Germany.

This event, of course, attracts every year many “aircraft spotters” from around the world to come to Zurich.

Zurich-Airport is the only airport in the world to provide for “aircraft-spotters” special Ramp-tours during the summit, organized by BUCHAIR.net and lasting over two hours!

You won’t find anywhere else so many BIZ-Jets on one airport at the same time, as you can see by the images. Lot’s of exotic and colorful aircrafts can be seen at static display or during take-off or landing.

  • Embraer EMB-135BJ der Republica de Panama

  • Boeing B767-32L (ER) des Azerbaijan Government.

It was a fantastic week to all “Aircraft-Spotters” even there was no official delegations from Russia, China and Japan. Maybe next year and some better weather, hopefully.
