Erstmals in der Geschichte der Schweizer Luftfahrt begrüsste der Euroairport am Freitag, den 28. Juni 13 das grösste Flugzeug der Welt: die Antonov An-225. Hunderte, begeisterter Freunde der Luftfahrt versammelten sich schon Stunden zuvor am Rande der Piste um diesem einmaligen Flugzeug bei der Ankunft beiwohnen zu können. Die aus Incheon, Seoul via Almaty und Baku kommende UR-82060 brachte mehrere Kondensatoren und Kesselringteile für einen französischen Kunden an den Euroairport. Ein wahrhafter Koloss der seinen Weg nach Basel fand! |

Samstag,
29.Juni. 2013 Es hatte
aufgehört zu regnen! Allerdings hingen tiefe, dunkle Wolken am Himmel,
die jedoch den nachfolgenden Bildern eine gewisse Dramatik verleihen.
Mit gut 30 Minuten Verspätung ging es dann endlich los: „Push-back“! Um 13:54 kam dann die erlösende Mitteilung des Towers über Funk: „Antonov 500-Foxtrott; Ready for Take-Off; Runway 33!” Kurz danach heulten die Triebwerke im Startschub auf und die UR-82060 gewann sehr schnell an Geschwindigkeit. Wie ich schon vermutet hatte, benötigte die Maschine nicht einmal 2000 Meter Startbahn um dann majestätisch in den mit dunklen Wolken behangenen Himmel empor zu steigen! Nicht überraschend, hatte sie doch keine Ladung an Bord und wohl nur den nötigen Treibstoff bis nach Leipzig in den Tanks. „Gänsehaut war garantiert“ So gingen zwei unvergessliche Tage am Euroairport mit vielen, tollen Bildern der An-225, in ihrer neuen Bemalung, zu Ende; und wohl in manches Archiv der vielen Spotter-Kollegen. |
