Geschichte

1950 wurde die Miles Magister als Trainingsflugzeug der RTAF ersetzt. Die Nachfolge trat die De Havilland Canada Chipmunk an. Die Maschine wurde 1950 eingeführt und blieb bis mitte der sechziger Jahre hin im Dienst der RTAF. 12 Maschinen wurden in Thailand von der RTAF modifiziert und als Chantra bezeichnet. Die Maschinen wurden ausschließlich von der Flight Trainings School in Kamphaeng Saen geflogen.
