The Pacific Aerospace Corporation CT/4 Airtrainer series is an all-metal-construction, single-engine, two-place with side-by-side seating, fully aerobatic, piston-engined, basic training aircraft manufactured in Hamilton, New Zealand.

The CT/4 prototype first flew on 23 February 1972.
  Die CT/4 Airtrainer-Baureihe von Pacific Aerospace Corporation ist ein vollständig aus Metall gefertigtes, einmotoriges zweisitziges mit zwei nebeneinander liegenden Sitzen Grundtrainings-flugzeug. Das vollständig Kunstflugtauglich ist und Hamilton, Neuseeland, hergestellt wird.
Der CT/4 Prototyp flog erstmals am 23. Februar 1972.

  CT/4A Powered by a 210 hp Continental piston engine. The initial production design.   CT/4A Angetrieben von einem 210 PS starken Continental-Kolbenmotor. Das anfängliche Serienmaschine.
  CT/4B A version of the CT/4A with minimal changes to suit the RTAF   CT/4B Eine Version des CT / 4A mit minimalen Änderungen für die RTAF
  CT/4E Powered by a 300 hp Lycoming and with a three-bladed propeller and the wing moved 5 cm rearwards to compensate for the altered centre of gravity.   CT/4E Angetrieben von einem 300 PS starken Lycoming und einem Dreiblatt-Propeller. Der Flügel wurde um 5 cm nach hinten verschoben, um den veränderten Schwerpunkt auszugleichen.

Operational history

Einsatzgeschichte

 

24 CT-4A where delivered in 1973/74 to the RTAF. The primary Trainer was used by the 1.  FTS at RTAFB Kamphaeng Saen. In 1992 6 CT-4B where procured. The replacement of the CT-4A and B was the CT-4E from wich it 1999 16 where delivered and 8 more in 2005.  The CT-4E ist the Primary Trainer of the RTAF, the CT-4A/B where now in use of the 604 Sqn 6th Wing RTAFB Don Muang.   24 CT-4A wurden 1973/74 an die RTAF geliefert. Der Basis-Trainer wurde von der 1. FTS in RTAFB Kamphaeng Saen verwendet. 1992 wurdem 6 CT-4B gekauft. Der Ersatz der CT-4A und B erfolgte 1999 mit der Lieferung von 16 CT-4E und weiteren 8 im 2005. Die CT-4E ist der Basis-Trainer der RTAF, die CT-4A/B wird heute von der 604 Staffel 6te Wing in RTAFB Don Muang verwendet.
