History

The first Thai helicopter where not new ones, they where 2nd hand or even 3rd hand planes. All four where brought from the UK, but one got lost before reaching Thai soil. 1950 is the year the rotary wing where introduced in the RTAF. The Westland WS-51 was good helicopter but in the hot environment of the SEA the performance was poor. 

Geschichte

Der erste Thailändische Hubschrauber, war nicht neu, sondern aus 2er oder sogar 3ter Hand.. Alle vier, wurden aus dem Vereinigten Königreich geliefert, aber ein Hubschrauber ging verloren bevor er thailändischen Boden erreichte. 1950 ist das Jahr der Einführung der Hubschrauber in die RTAF. Der Westland WS-51 Hubschrauber war gut, aber in der warmen Umgebung von Südostasien waren die Leistung schlecht.
