Entwicklung
The Lake Buccaneer is an
American four-seat, light amphibious aircraft originally developed as
the Colonial C-2 Skimmer. It is a cantilever, shoulder-wing monoplane
amphibian with a single-step all-metal hull with retractable tricycle
landing gear. It is powered by an Avco Lycoming piston engine in pusher
configuration, pylon-mounted above the hull.
The aircraft was built with a 180 hp Lycoming engine. This further
developed into the Lake Buccaneer which was essentially the same
airframe with a 200 hp fuel injected engine.
Die Lake Buccaneer ist ein
amerikanisches viersitziges, leichtes Amphibienflugzeug, das ursprünglich
als Colonial C-2 Skimmer entwickelt wurde. Es ist eine freitragende,
Schulterflügel-Eindeckeramphibie mit einem einstufigen Ganz-metallrumpf und
einziehbarem Dreiradfahrwerk. Es wird von einem Avco Lycoming-Kolbenmotor in
Schubkonfiguration angetrieben, der über dem Rumpf auf einem Pylon montiert
ist.
Das Flugzeug wurde mit einem 180 PS starken Lycoming-Motor gebaut. Es wurde
weiterentwickelt in die Lake Buccaneer, die im Wesentlichen die gleiche
Flugzeugzelle mit einem 200-PS-Motor mit Kraftstoffeinspritzung war.
