The Douglas DC-2 was a 14-seat, twin-engine airliner produced by the American company Douglas Aircraft Corporation starting in 1934. In 1935 Douglas produced a larger version called the DC-3, which became one of the most successful aircraft in history.
Die Douglas DC-2 war ein 14-sitziges, zwei-motoriges Verkehrsflugzeug der amerikanischen Firma Douglas Aircraft Corporation das ab 1934 produziert wurde. Im Jahr 1935 produzierte Douglas eine größere Version namens DC-3, die eines der erfolgreichsten Flugzeuge in der Geschichte wurde.

Einsatzgeschichte
Five standard airliners were ordered by the U.S. Navy, and were used as staff transport aircraft. Three went to the Navy, and were based at Anacostia, Pensacola and San Diego, while two went to the Marine Corps, and were based at Quantico, where they were operated by squadron VJ-6M.
Fünf Standard-Flugzeuge wurden von der U.S. Navy bestellt, und wurden als Transportflugzeug eingesetzt. Drei ging an die Navy, und wurden in Anacostia, Pensacola und San Diego verwendet, während zwei an das Marine Corps gingen und auf Basis von Quantico, wo sie von Staffel VJ-6M betrieben wurden.
