Also known as the model D2 seaplane, two HSs were supplied to the U.S. Navy against an order of July 1915. Initially they carried serials AH20 and A21 but this became A-57 and A58 later. The first flight was in the late summer of 1915.
Das auch als Modell D2 bekannte Wasserflugzeug wurde im Juli 1915 auf Bestellung an die U.S. Navy geliefert. Ursprünglich trugen sie die Seriennum-mern AH20 und A21, die später in A-57 und A58 umbenannt wurden. Der Erstflug fand im Spätsommer 1915 statt.
