History

HSL-60 is the U.S. Naval Reserve Force's first and only Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) MK III Squadron.  The squadron trains and deploys combat-ready SH-60B LAMPS MK III helicopter detachments, offering a multi-mission air warfare capability to U. S. Navy surface combatants.  The HSL 60 Jaguars are primarily employed for Fleet contributory support, conducting counter-drug operations in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean.  The Jaguars are also fully ready to provide under sea warfare, surface warfare, vertical replenishment, search and rescue, medical evacuation, naval gunfire support and communications relay missions.
