The Gulfstream II (G-II) is an American twin engine business jet designed and built by Grumman and then Gulfstream American.
 

The Gulfstream III was built at Savannah, Georgia and was designed as an improved variant of the Grumman Gulfstream II.
  

Gulfstream, in collaboration with Grumman began work on the Gulfstream IV in March 1983 as a re-engined, stretched fuselage derivative of the Gulfstream III. A decision to redesign the wing structure for weight reduction presented an opportunity for an aerodynamic redesign of the wing to reduce cruise drag and increase range.

The Gulfstream V first flew in 1995, was certified in 1997, and was one of the first "ultra-long range" 11,000 km) business aircraft. Capable of carrying up to 16 people in standard seating configurations, and able to fly up to 12,000 km, the GV became the longest range business jet ever made

Die Gulfstream II (G-II) ist ein zweimotoriger amerikanischer  Business-Jet entworfen und von Grumman und dann gebaut von Gulfstream American.
Die Gulfstream III wurde in Savannah, Georgia gebaut und war  eine verbesserte Variante der Grumman Gulfstream II.
Gulfstream, in Zusammenarbeit mit Grumman begann im März 1983 die Arbeit an der Gulfstream IV, mit einem gestreckten Rumpf und neuen Triebwerken. Die Entscheidung, die Flügel-Struktur zur Gewichtsreduktion zu überarbeiten bot die Gelegenheit für eine generelle aerodynamische Überarbeitung des Flügels der den Luftwiderstand verringerte und die Reichweite erhöhte.
Die Gulfstream V flog erstmals im Jahr 1995, wurde 1997 zertifiziert, sie war eines der ersten "Ultra-long range" 11.000 km) Geschäfts- reiseflugzeuge. Bis zu 16 Personen konnten mit der Standard-Bestuhlung bis zu 12.000 km weit fliegen.

Einsatzgeschichte

A single aircraft was procured by the U.S. Coast Guard as VC-11A and was serialled 1451 and later 01.

The U. S.Coast Guard procured a C-20C with the Serial 01.

The U.S. Coast Guard operated a VC-37A with serial 01 as an executive aircraft.

Ein einzelnes Flugzeug wurde von der U.S. Coast Guard  als VC-11A als 1451 beschafft und später als 01 umnummert.

Die U.S. Coast Guard  beschaffte eine C-20C mit der Seriennummer 01.

Die U.S. Coast Guard  betrieb eine VC-37A mit der Seriennummer 01 als VIP Flugzeug.
