The Lockheed Model 10 Electra was a twin-engine, all-metal monoplane airliner developed by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in the 1930s. The Electra was Lockheed's first all-metal and twin-engine design by Hall Hibbard.

Einsatzgeschichte
The U.S. Coast Guard acquired one Lockheed Model 10-B Electra, which the Coast Guard designated R3O-1, for use as the commandant’s flagship on 19. April 1936. In addition to serving the commandant, this aircraft was also made available to the Secretary of the Treasury as well. The aircraft served the Coast Guard well but was traded to the Marine Corps in 1945 for a Grumman J2F. The commandant’s ex-ecutive transport aircraft by then was a Lockheed R5O Lodestar.
Die U.S. Coast Guard erwarb am 19. April 1936 ein Lockheed Modell 10-B Electra, das die Küsten-wache als R3O-1 bezeichnete, als Flaggschiff des Kommandanten. Neben dem Dienst am Komman-danten wurde dieses Flugzeug auch dem Finanz-minister zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Flugzeug diente der Küstenwache gut, wurde aber 1945 gegen eine Grumman J2F an das Marine Corps eingetauscht. Das Transportflugzeug des Kom-mandanten war dann eine Lockheed R5O Lodestar.
