1703 NAS formed at RNAS Lee-on-Solent on 1. August 1945 with 6 Sea Otters. It experienced cnsiderable trouble with its aircraft, including corrodet bolts whlch made the tails liable to drop off, and also unexplained engine failure. there were consequently mixed feelings when it was ordered to disband on 18.
