The Cessna 208 Caravan is an American single-engined turboprop, fixed-tricycle landing gear, short-haul regional airliner and utility aircraft that is built by Cessna. The airplane typically seats nine passengers with a single pilot. The aircraft is also used for cargo operations. The prototype first flew on 9. December 1982. A freighter variant without cabin windows was developed at the request of Federal Express as the Cargomaster. Another cargo variant for Federal Express, with a longer fuselage and a cargo pod under the belly, was developed as the 208B Super Cargomaster and flew for the first time in 1986. A passenger model, the 208B Grand Caravan, was derived from the Super Cargomaster.

Die Cessna 208 Caravan ist ein amerikanisches einmotoriges Kurzstreckenflugzeug und ein Versorgungsflugzeug mit Turboprop-Triebwerk und einem festem Dreiradfahrwerk das von Cessna gebaut wird. Das Flugzeug hat typischerweise neun Passagiere mit einem Piloten. Das Flugzeug wird auch für Frachtoperationen verwendet. Der Prototyp flog erstmals am 9. Dezember 1982. Eine Frachtversion ohne Kabinenfenster wurde auf Wunsch von Federal Express als Cargomaster entwickelt. Eine weitere Frachtversion für Federal Express mit längerem Rumpf und Cargo-Pod unter dem Rumpf wurde als 208B Super Cargomaster entwickelt und flog erstmals 1986. Ein Passagiermodell, der 208B Grand Caravan, wurde vom Super Cargomaster abgeleitet.
