The Siebel
Si 204 was a small twin-engined trans-port and trainer aircraft
developed in World War II. It was based on the Siebel Fh 104 Hallore.
The Si 204 was planned as a small all-metal passenger aircraft with two
crew and eight passengers for German airline Deutsche Lufthansa.
Development was initiated in 1938. The contractor was, as usual, the
Ministry of Aviation, but the development was conducted in close
collaboration between Lufthansa and Siebel in Halle. The maiden flight
of the first prototype was before September 1940, possibly on 25. May
1940.
At that time, Siebel produced the Junkers Ju 88 under licence, so only
15 prototypes were able to be built in Halle. As a result, Société
Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Nord (SNCAN) in France
produced the aircraft between April 1942 and November 1943.
Die Siebel Si
204 war ein kleines zweimotoriges Transport- und Schulflugzeug, das im
Zweiten Weltkrieg entwickelt wurde. Es basierte auf der Siebel Fh 104
Hallore. Die Si 204 war als kleines Ganzmetall-Passagierflugzeug mit zwei
Besat-zungsmitgliedern und acht Passagieren für die Deutsche Lufthansa
geplant. 1938 wurde mit der Entwicklung begonnen. Auftraggeber war wie
üblich das Reichsluftfahrtministerium, die Entwicklung erfolgte jedoch in
enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen Lufthansa und Siebel in Halle. Der Erstflug
des Prototypen fand vor September 1940, eventuell am 25. Mai 1940 statt.
Damals stellte Siebel die Junkers Ju 88 in Lizenz her, sodass nur 15
Prototypen in Halle gebaut werden konnten. Infolgedessen produzierte die
Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Nord (SNCAN) in
Frankreich das Flugzeug zwischen April 1942 und November 1943.
