AS365 Dauphin
The Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin is a medium-weight multipurpose twin-engine helicopter produced by Airbus Helicopters. It was originally developed and manufactured by French firm Aérospatiale, which was merged into the multinational Eurocopter company during the 1990s. Since entering production in 1975, the type has been in continuous production for more than 40 years.

The Dauphin 2 shares many similarities with the Aérospatiale SA360, a commercially unsuccessful single-engine helicopter; however the twin-engine Dauphin 2 did meet with customer demand and has been operated by a wide variety of civil and military operators. Since the type's introduction in the 1970s, several major variations and specialised versions of the Dauphin 2 have been developed and entered production, including the military-oriented Eurocopter Panther, the air-sea rescue MH-65 Dolphin, the Chinese-manufactured Harbin Z-9 and the modernised Eurocopter EC155.

Der Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin ist ein mittel-schwerer zweimotoriger Mehrzweckhubschrauber von Airbus Helicopters. Er wurde ursprünglich von der französischen Firma Aérospatiale entwickelt und hergestellt, die in den 1990er Jahren in das multinationale Unternehmen Eurocopter fusionierte. Seit dem Produktionsstart im Jahr 1975 wird der Typ seit mehr als 40 Jahren kontinuierlich produ-ziert.
Die Dauphin 2 hat viele Ähnlichkeiten mit der Aérospatiale SA360, einem kommerziell erfolg-losen einmotorigen Hubschrauber. Der zweimotor-ige Dauphin 2 erfüllte jedoch die Kundennachfrage und wurde von einer Vielzahl von zivilen und militärischen Betreibern betrieben. Seit der Einführung des Typs in den 1970er Jahren wurden mehrere Hauptvarianten und Spezialversionen des Dauphin 2 entwickelt und in Produktion genom-men, darunter der militärisch orientierte Eurocopter Panther, der Luft-See-Rettungswagen MH-65 Dolphin, der in China hergestellte Harbin Z-9 und der modernisierte Eurocopter EC155.

During the 1980s, French aerospace firm Aero-spatiale decided to develop a purpose-built military version of their popular Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin, the SA 365M Panther.
 
It is capable of performing various naval and land-based missions, such as maritime security, search and rescue (SAR), casualty evacuation (CASEVAC), vertical replenishment, surveillance, special forces operations, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and Anti-surface warfare (ASuW)

In den 1980er Jahren beschloss das französische Luft- und Raumfahrtunternehmen Aerospatiale, eine speziell angefertigte Militärversion ihres beliebten Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin, den SA 365M Pant-her, zu entwickeln.

EC155
Originally designated AS365 N4, the EC155 was developed from the Eurocopter AS365 N3 Dauphin 2 with the aim of significantly increasing the cabin space of the Dauphin.

The EC155 B features a completely redesigned cabin providing 30% more passenger space than previous Dauphin helicopter models, plus a 130% increase in baggage hold volume. Other major improvements include a five-blade Spheriflex composite main rotor combined with the familiar shrouded Fenestron tail rotor to reduce vibration levels significantly.

Ursprünglich als AS365 N4 bezeichnet, wurde die EC155 aus dem Eurocopter AS365 N3 Dauphin 2 mit dem Ziel entwickelt, den Kabinenraum der Dauphin deutlich zu vergrößern.
Der EC155 B verfügt über eine komplett neu gestaltete Kabine, die 30 % mehr Passagierraum als frühere Dauphin-Hubschraubermodelle bietet und das Gepäckraumvolumen um 130 % erhöht. Zu den weiteren wichtigen Verbesserungen gehören ein fünfblättriger Spheriflex-Composite-Hauptrotor in Kombination mit dem bekannten ummantelten Fenestron-Heckrotor, um die Vibrationspegel erheblich zu reduzieren.
