Eurocopter X3 |

Der Eurocopter X3 F-ZXXX-Demonstrator basiert auf einem EC155-Hubschrauber, der zusätzlich mit zwei Flügeln kurzer Spannweite ausgestattet ist, an denen jeweils ein Zugpropeller angebracht ist. Die Zugpropeller werden über Getriebe von den beiden Hauptturboprop-Triebwerken angetrieben, die auch den fünfblättrigen Hauptrotor antreiben. Der Hubschrauber soll das Konzept eines Hochgeschwindigkeitshubschraubers erproben, das darauf beruht, die Rotordrehzahl zu verringern, um den Luftwiderstand der vorlaufenden Blattspitzen zu vermeiden, und um ein Strömungsabriss der zurücklaufenden Blätter zu verhindern, indem der Rotor entlastet wird, während stattdessen ein kleiner Flügel den Auftrieb übernimmt. |
