Without false modesty, it
must be said that the Air 14,was the biggest airshow in the world. Over
two weekends in August and September the Swiss Air Force presented
numerous planes to the attending guests. Around 400,000 spectators -
which is about 5% of the total Swiss population - have enjoyed the
spectacle. In addition to 100 years of the Swiss Air Force the 50-year
anniversary of the Patrouille Suisse and the 25-year anniversary of the
PC-7 team where celebrated.
And between the
weekends, rvery day a flight program was offered. |

For Urs Schnyder and me was quite clear that is is not possible to cover
this exceptional event n a single report. Therefore, we decided to break
down this Airshow into several parts. These parts will be published
gradually over the next few weeks.
We hope,
to offer our readers with these parts a comprehensive picture of the
largest airshow - the Air14. |
