RTAF 2
Entwicklung
The RTAF-2 is a
single-engine training and liaison aircraft that was developed by the
Royal Thai Air Force's Science and Weapon Systems Develop-ment Centre in
1957. The RTAF-2 was developed from the Fuji LM-1 Nikko, itself a
derivative of the Beechcraft Bonanza.
One prototype was built in 1957 and tested in 1957–58, although no
further production followed.
By 1967 the sole example had been turned over to the Royal Thai Air
Force Museum, Don Mueang District, Bangkok
Die RTAF-2 ist eine
Eigenentwicklung der Royal Thai Air Force, besser gesagt dem Wissenschafts-
und Waffen System Entwicklungs-Zentrums. 1957 wurde sie RTAF-2 auf der Basis
der Beech Bonanza und in Anlehnung an die FujiLM-1 Nikko gebaut.
Die Beech Bonanza D-1467 der RTAF wurde entsprechend umgebaut. Der Erstflug
fand im Frühjahr 1958 statt. Die Maschine wurde bis 1961 gestestet, doch
erfolgte keine Serienproduktion.
Seit 1967 ist die Maschine im Museum der Royal Thai Air Force in Bangkok.
