The Ilyushin Il-14 was a
Soviet twin-engine commercial and military personnel and cargo transport
aircraft that first flew in 1950, and entered service in 1954. The
Ilyushin Il-14 was typically replaced by the Antonov An-24 and Yakovlev
Yak-40.The Il-14 was developed as a replacement for the widespread
Lisunov Li-2 and is a development of the earlier Ilyushin Il-12.
The development into the Il-14 was a vast improvement over the Il-12,
with a new wing and a broader tailfin. It was powered by two 1,900 hp
Shvetsov ASh-82T-7 radial piston engines. These changes greatly improved
aerodynamic performance in engine-out conditions. At all 1,345 aircraft
were produced.
Die Iljuschin Il-14 war ein
sowjetisches zweimotor-iges kommerzielles und militärisches Passagier- und
Frachttransportflugzeug, das 1950 erstmals flog und 1954 in Dienst gestellt
wurde. Die Iljuschin Il-14 wurde typischerweise durch die Antonov An-24 und
die Yakovlev Yak-40k ersetzt . Die Il-14 wurde als Ersatz für die weit
verbreitete Lisunov Li-2 entwickelt und ist eine Weiterentwicklung der
früheren Iljuschin Il-12.
Die Entwicklung zur Il-14 war eine enorme Verbesserung gegenüber der Il-12,
mit einem neuen Flügel und einer breiteren Heckflosse. Es wurde von zwei
1.900 PS starken Shvetsov AS-82T-7-Sternmotoren angetrieben. Diese
Änderung-en verbesserten die aerodymic bei einem Motor-ausfall erheblich.

Einsatzgeschichte
The Ilyushin Il-14 was used by the Cambodian Air Force, with records showing they operated two of these aircraft as of 1968, primarily for cargo and troop movement, supporting regional communist forces alongside North Vietnam's Il-14s in nearby Laos and Cambodia during the conflict era.
Die Iljuschin Il-14 wurde von der kambod-schanischen Luftwaffe eingesetzt. Aufzeichnungen zeigen, dass sie 1968 zwei dieser Flugzeuge vor allem für Fracht- und Truppentransporte einsetzte und während des Konflikts gemeinsam mit den Il-14 Nordvietnams in den benachbarten Ländern Laos und Kambodscha die kommunistischen Kräfte in der Region unterstützte.
