Der übliche Verkehr der BIZ-Jets hielt sich dieses Jahr wohl in Grenzen. Wenig neues aber viele alte Bekannte. Der Sektor der Regierungsflieger hatte dann doch wohl einige Überraschungen für uns Spotters bereit. Noch nie hatten wir so viele „Government-Jets“ wie in dieser Woche vor Ort; seltene Exponate damit eingeschlossen. 
Die Überraschung war wohl der Airbus A321der Islamic Republic of Iran und die ELAL, Boeing B737-900ER auf den gleichen Standplätzen nebeneinander. Wahrlich ein weltweites Novum!
Aus aviatischer Sicht, war sicherlich der Besuch der Ukrainischen Regierungsmaschine Ilyushin IL-62M das „Highlight“ der Woche; kamen sie doch in den vergangenen Jahren jeweils mit dem Airbus A319 ans WEF in Davos.

WEF 2014

Nebst den Iranern und den Israelis gab es jedoch, „vor allem auf den Nachttouren“, einige weitere Highlights zu sehen. So waren die beiden B747-400 der Japan Air Self Defence vor Ort, aber auch die Boeing 767 der Azerbaijan Regierung in brandneuer Bemalung war in Zürich anzutreffen. Von „Down Under“ zeigte sich eine Boeing 737-BBJ, eine A330-200 der Regierung von Kazakhstan und die farbenfrohe A319 der Republique du Senegal; so wie eine Boeing 757 und ERJ-190 der mexikanischen Regierung.

Wie in all den Jahren zuvor platzte der Flughafen Zürich in der WEF-Woche aus allen Nähten! Gegen 1000 zusätzliche Flugbewegungen, anlässlich des WF’S, wurden in diesen Tagen verzeichnet.
Da auch dieses Jahr Zürich-Kloten nur über eine beschränkte Anzahl zusätzlicher Standplätze verfügte (58), flogen viele der BIZ-Jets anschliessend auf andere Flugplätze der Schweiz und dem benachbarte Ausland. Angesichts der zu bewältigenden Mehrflüge zogen die Verantwortlichen des Flughafens Zürich jedoch eine positive Bilanz betreffend organisatorischer und sicherheitsrelevanter Aspekte.

Ramp Tours

Wie in den Jahren zuvor organisierte das Unternehmen BuchAIR Tours in Zusammenhang mit der Flughafens Zürich AG, die beliebten „Ramp-Tours“ für die vielen Spotter aus dem In- und Ausland.So wurden auch dieses Jahr drei Nachttouren organisiert die innert kürzester Zeit ausverkauft waren. Das gleiche galt auch für die schon legendären Tagestouren.
Dank beschränkter Teilnehmerzahl, genügend Vorbereitungszeit und der tollen Organisation durch BuchAIR Tours kamen wir Fotografen voll auf unsere Kosten und konnten einige stimmungsvolle Impressionen auf dem Vorfeld einfangen. Anlässlich der doch bekannten Anzahl von BIZ-Jets, legen wir dieses Mal den Fokus unserer Fotoreportage auf die zahlreichen, exotischen Regierungsmaschinen die dieses Jahr in Zürich-Kloten anwesend waren.
