After initial difficulties, so-called childhood diseases and a delivery delay of 2-3 years, Airbus has for the first time in 2012 reached the planned production and delivery rates.

With 262 orders, however, is the so-called "break-even" certainly not reached? EMIRATES are probably by far the largest customer of the A380. Currently the Gulf Airlines has 31 A380 on its international network.

One of the next customers in 2013 will be British Airways. BA has 12 firm orders and holds options on a further 7 aircraft.

To ensure the "success" of the A380 it still needs more "orders" regarding the previous ones. Fair to say, that the A380 was ordered mainly by Asian and European airlines.

At the moment there are no orders from the U.S., South America and Africa. This is probably only a matter of time considering the need to travel by thousands and thousands of travelers around the globe.

We can assume with great probability that the A380 orders will increase dramatically in the coming months / years.

Enclosed are the latest figures for the orders, options and deliveries.
